First organized in Ho Chi Minh City in 2009, and spanning over a decade of fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, the FOSSASIA Summit has evolved into a platform for developers, enthusiasts, and leaders in the industry to share insights and experiences on open-source technology and engage with fellow members.

The FOSSASIA Summit 2024, co-organized by the FOSSASIA Organization (Singapore/Vietnam), the Vietnam Internet Association (VIA), the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), and the Vietnam Free and Open Source Software Association (VFOSSA), aims to welcome a diverse community of 3,000 participants from around the globe. This event presents a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and explore the latest advancements in open source.

1. Activities

The FOSSASIA Summit 2024 features two concurrent activities: the thematic conference "Open-Source Solutions for Sustainable Development" and an exhibition showcasing products and solutions in ICT from leading technology corporations. Over 150 technology experts from both domestic and international spheres have registered to contribute to the conference.

The conference will feature discussions on cutting-edge technology topics, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI, GenAI, OpenAI), Open Source Hardware, RISC-V-based open chip production, semiconductor technology, Cloud & DevOps, Web3 and cryptocurrencies (Crypto), robotics, information security, digital databases, among others.
